RETHINKING WHAT A JOURNALISM WORKSHOP CAN BE

Back In-Person for 2022

We miss you, high school journalism students. We miss the summer days filled with creativity, hard work and planning. So, our workshop staff is hard at work to bring back the Jayhawk Media Workshop. Our re-imagined workshop will welcome you to the newly renovated Stauffer-Flint Hall, home to the William Allen White School. Experiment with the same world-class resources that our university students use every day.

  • A versatile and high-tech broadcast studio
  • Flexible meeting spaces that encourage collaboration
  • Photography and broadcast equipment to practice new skills
  • Experienced faculty members with decades of professional expertise

Welcome back to the Jayhawk Media Workshop! We are ready for a great summer with you.

COVID-19 SAFETY

our plan for PROTECTING STUDENTS
at the workshop

PROTECTING STUDENTS
The University of Kansas is planning to hold campus and conferences in summer 2022 for youth and adults. Our workshop will follow the guidance of the CDC and the university to keep individuals safe. As a workshop, we anticipate there could be a COVID entry protocol, where individuals bring their completed vaccination record or bring a negative test result.  Details will be published as we approach the summer and navigate COVID at the current time.
