Our world is full of diversity — it is not always race, but it can be economically, politically, culturally. In this class we’ll talk about how to better cover all communities in your school, how to interview people who don’t look like you and brainstorm a few story ideas.
Patricia Gaston teaches writing and reporting at KU. She spent nearly 40 years as an editor most notably at the Washington Post and the Dallas Morning News. At the DMN she was co-editor of a 1994 Pulitzer-prize winning project on violence against women.
